Lego resale shop to open in town this year and people are excited
A new toy shop reselling Lego is set to open in a Derbyshire town this year. Barn Dawg Store is "coming soon" to the Market Place, in Long Eaton. The independent retailer collects and restores old blocks of the plastic construction toy before selling them on.
So if you are missing a spare piece from a treasured Lego set and live near the Erewash town you may soon be in luck. The business was set up two years ago by Nadia and Barney, who post TikToks of all things Lego to more than 11,000 followers. They describe their collection as something that has "slowly taken over their time" but they are enjoying "having a piece of their childhood back in their lives".

The opening date has not yet been announced, but in the meantime, Barn Dawg does also have a website and an eBay store, Nottinghamshire Live reports.
Shoppers reacted with joy to the news that the shop will be opening when it was posted on the Spotted: Long Eaton group on Facebook. One person posted: "Stop it! When and where please?
My kids are home educated and we will be in there all the time!" Another agreed and said it "sounds interesting". There were plenty of Lego puns on offer too, with one shopper commenting: "Beware! Opening day.
The queue will be going round the block." Another added: "I hope it's successful but I bet the owners are bricking it." Want to make sure you don't miss another shop, restaurant or bar opening? Sign up for the free Derbyshire Live What's On newsletter here.
