The LG C2 is the CHEAPEST it’s been this Black Friday
Black Friday is here and John Lewis has the best Black Friday TV deals on one of our favourite OLEDs, the LG C2. The retailer is offering the LG C2 48in for GBP799, its lowest-ever price, though there is a caveat - you'll need to be a My John Lewis member and add the promotional code MYJL100LG at checkout. Joining My John Lewis is free, however, so it's well worth doing to nab yourself a GBP100 saving on the price being offered by other retailers.
Similar discounts are available on the 42in model, which is available for GBP699, the 55in, which you can pick up for GBP979, and the 65in variant, which costs GBP1,449 when the GBP100 code is applied. Even bigger savings are available on the enormous 77in and 83in models. The 77in option recently had its price cut from GBP3,299 to GBP2,749 and My John Lewis members can get a further GBP200 off that price using the code MYJL200LG.
Using the same code, you can grab the 83in variant for an all-time low price of GBP4,199. If you do decide to splash out on one of those huge TVs, you might also be interested in an immersive soundbar to accompany it. John Lewis is knocking 50% off the price of LG's S95QR when bought with the LG C2 65in model and above.
Simply use the code LGSAVE50 at checkout to save over GBP800 on the 9.1.5-channel system. Sadly, you can only use one promo code at a time, so won't be able to take advantage of both discounts when making a single purchase. Now that that's out of the way, let's look at what you can expect to receive if you do decide to bite the bullet and pick up the LG C2 from John Lewis this Black Friday.
The LG C2 is powered by LG's latest Alpha9 Gen5 processor and runs the most recent iteration of the South Korean company's excellent operating system, webOS 22. The set itself is packed full of picture and sound enhancement technologies, including AI Picture Pro and AI Sound Pro, while the 55in model and above take advantage of Brightness Booster technology to hit higher levels of luminance compared with last year's model, the LG C1. The result is stunningly accurate SDR and HDR image quality, and this is complemented by support for a comprehensive range of streaming services and next-gen gaming features.
At full price, it's a great TV; with a hefty discount, it's an OLED bargain that shouldn't be missed. Dolby Atmos audio, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa are all present and correct, too, making the LG C2 a formidable OLED all-rounder. It was a close second to the Samsung S95B QD-OLED in the TV category at our Product of the Year Awards: Technology last month, but does have the advantage of coming in a wider range of sizes.
