Master builder to recreate Beatles album cover out of LEGO bricks
A master builder is set to recreate The Beatles' 'Abbey Road' album cover out of LEGO. Steve Guinness, better known as The Brick Consultant, has started work on his 16,500 creation at the Museum of Liverpool today. Expected to take three days to complete, the creation will celebrate music icons John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.

Visitors will be provided with instructions on how to build their small section before handing it over to Steve to add to the overall piece.
Steve, originally from Chester, explained to 2Chill : "I run events in Museums, visitor centres and schools, making a wide range of LEGO creations. "Each event is different and tailored to the location, but each time my aim is to run a fun hands on and interactive activity, and hope that it will inspire people to get creative with their own LEGO bricks when they get home." When completed and after taking photos, Steve will disassemble the mosaic and use the pieces in his next creation.
The Technology and Design teacher added: "That's the beauty of LEGO bricks, with a little imagination they can be used over and over again to make anything you like." The free activity is suitable for children aged three and above with accompanying adults. There is no need to book, just drop in to the Museum of Liverpool between 27-29 October to enjoy some hands-on fun.
Photos of the progress will be posted daily to his Instagram.
