The video head Manfrotto 502HD Pro with flat base (3/8 ” – 16) is a professional head that is more comprehensive than the popular 501HDV, with a sturdier structure with patented Manfrotto technology (also used in 509HD and 504HD heads), which is designed to perform filming movements with compact video cameras and DSLR cameras. The 502HD is available in two versions: the ”AH” flat base version, which is this one, and the ”A” ball version, available separately. The counterbalanced 3.27 ” plate allows you to correct for uneven loads that could be due to matte boxes or DSLR rigs. The bridging technology ensures that the friction control is intuitive and easy to set, but also protected against impacts. There are of course independent locks for pan and tilt. The flow for both is selectable in a continuous range from zero to the maximum level. This allows you to operate the head safely and easily using the pan bar.
