Product Description

The PBH 2100 RE has a number of useful features.

Extreme Power with Fingertip Control

Rotary hammers from Bosch are truly multi-talented tools: Hammering, drilling and chiselling are combined in one tool. They are in their element not only when drilling in concrete with their pneumatic hammer mechanism, but also when producing and fitting solid wooden structures such as summer houses or carports.

A rotary hammer is a power tool with a rotating machine tool for drilling in masonry, concrete, artificial and natural stone. It is equipped with a percussive hammer mechanism. The striking energy is independent of operator pressure. When the hammer mechanism is turned off, the rotary hammer can be used like a drill; when the rotation mechanism is turned off, it turns into a chipping hammer. Tool speed and impact force of the tool can be adjusted electronically to match the processed material and application.

The Bosch PBH 2100 RE gets all the jobs done: drilling holes (especially in concrete up to 20 mm drill diameter), screwdriving, drilling in wood, steel or even chiselling in renovation projects at home (such as cutting electrical channels in concrete or removing bathroom or paving tiles). The PBH 2100 RE comes with a powerful 550 W motor which ensures effortless hammering in concrete and masonry, chiselling and drilling.

Resistance is Futile

The pneumatic Bosch hammer mechanism has an impact energy of 1.7 joules (15 per cent higher performance than its predecessor PBH 2000 RE). This gives high impact force in hard materials regardless of the feed pressure. It enables you to drill through walls quickly without tiring yourself out. High Speed Drill Rotation The average rotational speed of rotary hammers varies between 800 rpm and 1700 rpm. Impact drills have much higher rotational speeds, going from 2500-3000 rpm. The PBH 2100 RE reaches 2300 rpm. Fast removal of concrete dust, splints and other drilling material is just one of its advantages. Also the application spectrum has increased and it is now suitable for materials like wood and steel. The PBH 2100 RE allows impressive drilling in all diameters and high precision.

  • Maximum drilling diameter in concrete: 20 mm
  • Maximum drilling diameter in steel: 13 mm
  • Maximum drilling diameter in wood: 20 mm
Selection Switch

Whether hammering, chiselling, drilling or screwdriving, the selection switch ensures you have the right setting. The impact stop switches off the hammer mechanism when drilling in wood or metal and when screwdriving. The rotation stop switches off the rotary motion when chiselling.

Bosch SDS-Plus

The Bosch SDS-Plus system allows for rapid bit fitting. The specially designed drill bits enable optimum power transfer from the machine. In addition to this, the Bosch SDS quick-change chuck allows tool-free changing of the SDS-plus fitting and the standard chuck for normal straight-shank drill or screwdriver bits.

Lightweight and Ergonomic

The low weight of 2.2kg and an ergonomic slim-line design gives added user comfort for effortless drilling and fatigue-free working. The Softgrip handle gives users a ideal grip and control of the machine. In comparison to its predecessor (PBH 2000 RE) the Bosch PBH 2100 RE features an optimised size-weight ratio, due to improvement in size of 10 per cent, which makes the tool even more compact.

Speed Control

The Bosch Electronic speed control trigger allows the user to vary the motor speed from zero to maximum using the trigger switch.

The PBH 2100 RE rotary hammer

Whether you are looking to modernise an old bathroom or even install heating or cold water pipes, the PBH 2100 RE is sure to make your ambitious projects a success. The PBH 2100 RE is suitable for both standard and more exacting drilling and chiselling jobs. When your impact drill reaches its limits, it is time to reach for the rotary hammer. It hammers in both concrete and masonry, and also lightens the load on your arms thanks to high feed pressure provided by the pneumatic hammer mechanism.

    Effortless drilling in concrete

The pneumatic hammer mechanism generates its impact energy itself and thereby achieves extremely high impact force. The rotary hammer has been designed specifically for drilling in the hardest of materials without exertion of great force. It therefore allows totally effortless drilling in concrete, irrespective of the feed pressure.

Attach the chisel for easy tile removal

The PBH 2100 RE is equipped with a rotation stop for disabling the rotary motion. It can therefore be used with the chisel to remove old tiles, and even small

    wall openings are child's play.

Thanks to use of special retaining and power transmission grooves in the shaft, the chisel sits extremely securely and the force is transferred without any loss.

    Precise work in various positions

Thanks to Vario-Lock, it is possible to attach the chisel in 36 positions. This always guarantees the optimum angle between wall and chisel, while also preventing power losses due to unfavourable posture.

You can therefore also use the rotary hammer to remove cable ducts.

Easy drilling in wood and steel

Thanks to the rotary hammer's impact stop function, the hammer motion can be deactivated for drilling in wood or steel. The Bosch Electronic also ensures that you can apply power sensitively using the trigger switch to prevent damage to sensitive materials such as tiles.

    Optimum adjustment

The corresponding mode can be selected

simply by turning the switch. The following modes are available: Drilling without hammer function (impact stop), drilling with pneumatic hammer function, Vario-Lock for optimum adjustment of the chisel position or rotation stop for just the hammer function when using chisels.

    Powerful, convenient and lightweight

The compact design and low weight, as well as the high impact force are what make the PBH 2100 RE the ideal companion for all drilling and chiselling jobs in and around the home. The adjustable auxiliary handle also ensures that you always have a good hold of the rotary hammer. Even overhead work is particularly easy. The use of SDS-plus means that the drill bits and chisels can be changed very quickly and tool-free.
