Ferrero to launch new products in GTR biscuits category

Ferrero Travel Market is set to launch new products from its Kinder and Nutella brands in the biscuits category in global travel retail. The Italian confectioner’s entrance into this previously untried segment of the confectionery & fine food travel retail market will be comprised of  three biscuit products grouped under “La Biscotteria” umbrella branding: Kinder Cards T(2×3), Nutella Biscuits T22 and Nutella Biscuits T12. Kinder Cards, aimed at young children, combine the Kinder flavour of creamy milk and chocolate with a biscuit made from wheat flour and cane sugar.

Nutella Biscuits take the same biscuit recipe moulded into a shallow shell, filled with chocolate hazelnut Nutella and capped with a second biscuit. Kinder Cards and Nutella Biscuits have both had limited exposure in selected European domestic markets over the last three years. The positive response from shoppers has led Ferrero to introduce the range in airports, border stores and on ferries where passengers are often looking for a snack that will suit young and adults alike.

La Biscotteria, featuring two brands Kinder Cards and Nutella Biscuits, will be previewed by travel retail stakeholders at the TFWA World Exhibition next month, prior to a roll-out across global outlets from November.
