Move over, Mario – it’s LEGO Sonic’s turn to take over! Four new brand new sets are on the way with a speedy launcher.

This new collab between LEGO and SEGA feature four sets of varying sizes and complexity. Each has modular elements that allow fans to build high-velocity obstacles for Sonic to run through as he battles Badniks to rescue his friends.

New accessories will allow builders to create new experiences for the Blue Blur including a DJ deck, a beach hangout for his friends, and more. You can combine them to build unique courses or recreate the challenges in the classic video games. And unlike the older sets, Sonic can speed through the courses you build thanks to the Speed Sphere.

“It really isn’t like anything else!

The sets offer an entirely new, action-packed play experience. I’m especially proud of the Speed Sphere, as it was quite a challenge to figure out how we would get Sonic to speed up and interact with each course. Sonic is known for his speed and how he runs and jumps through courses, so for LEGO sets inspired by him there was no way we could create a static set, we simply had to be creative and make them as action-packed as possible!”
